The Siili 8 apartment building is the second phase of the Jõekaare residential area located on the banks of the Emajõgi River in Tartu. The new building complements the existing structure and follows its architectural language, but stands out with a stricter approach to materials. Here, the warmth of wood contrasts with the roughness of concrete.
From the street side, the building appears to be on stilts, while on the rear side, the elevated ground rises to the level of the high first floor, allowing for a closer interaction with the scenic riverside environment.
